Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Program
Our Nurse Assistant Training Program is a six (6) week paid training program offering a combined lecture/lab course that teaches you the concepts and clinical skills to work with residents at Schervier Pavilion, a skilled nursing facility. This NAPT course has been approved by the Department of Health Services which means that after the completion of this course, you will be eligible to take the New York State Nursing Home Nurse Aide Competency Examination.

 

About the course
This is a 6-week program that consists of:

  • 100 hours of training – 50 hours classroom, 30 hours supervised clinical, 20 hours lab
  • On-site classes & clinical Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Schervier Pavilion
  • Paid application for state Prometric Exam
  • Job placement assistance

Requirements

  • Basic patient care competency skills
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required
