Manager Development

WMCHealth recognizes and supports the professional growth of employees transitioning into management roles.  The Manager Development Pillar is designed to introduce you to the new level of expectations and competencies needed to succeed in your new role. All managers and supervisors of direct reports will be required to attend all of these courses within the first 6 months of hire or promotion to their managerial role.

SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEWING

Purpose:
The impact of hiring decisions is huge- it affects the institution’s performance, patient experience, and retention- therefore it is critical to conduct an interview that effectively assesses the right candidate for the job as well as WMCHealth’s culture and respected standards.
 
Learning Objectives:
  1. Successfully interview candidates focusing on experience, behaviors, knowledge, skills, and ability that are job-related 
  2. Identify past behavior to serve as a predictor of future behavior
  3. Identify what you can and cannot ask of a candidate during the interview process

Purpose:
The key to continuous performance improvement and career development is strong performance management and feedback. We hold everyone accountable to the Standards of Behavior and expectations of the job and aim to foster an environment of continuous learning and goal setting.
