MidHudson Regional Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY

The hospital operates over 90 behavioral health beds in three (3) inpatient psychiatry units and a chemical dependency inpatient unit and is renovating these facilities.  Multidisciplinary treatment teams are assigned to each psychiatry unit composed of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses, patient care techs, mental health therapists, recreational and activity therapists, case managers, discharge planners, and unit clerks.  The chemical dependency team also includes counselors, doctors, and physician assistants specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders.

The Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health is partnered with MidHudson Regional Hospital to establish the Center of Excellence.

HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, Kingston, NY

The newly renovated Mary’s Avenue campus of the HealthAlliance Hospital is bringing back 20 inpatient mental health beds to Ulster County, which has lacked hospital inpatient psychiatric services since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.  When the unit opens, it will house a multidisciplinary treatment team comprised of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses, patient care techs, mental health therapists, recreational and activity therapists, case managers, discharge planners, and unit clerks.
