Become the Director of Nursing for Perioperative Services at Westchester Medical Center, the largest tertiary care Level I trauma center and children’s hospital in Westchester County, serving a diverse population. In this role you will:
- Oversee direct management team as well as employees in endoscopy pre-procedure testing, adult inpatient critical post-anesthesia care unit, Maria Ferrara Children's Hospital ambulatory inpatient pre/post-operative care, as well as a state-of-the-art ambulatory care pavilion.
- Work collaboratively with leadership from all departments to support fiscal responsibility and standardization of processes. Collaborate with multispecialty teams with the purpose of developing improvement processes and initiatives that directly support patient care across the continuum.
- Develop policies and guidelines that directly affect patients and employees based on best practices identified by ASPAN, AORN, SGNA, and CMS. Create and monitor unit-based quality improvement processes.
- Directly support patient relations through the resolution of issues and addressing patient concerns.
- Maintain relationships with vendors that support equipment and technology use on all units including a computer-based educational platform.
