The new HealthAlliance Hospital includes:

• A new, two-story, 79,000-square-foot building adjoining the current facility, along with the full renovation of 48,000 square feet of space within the existing hospital.
• A newly constructed 25,000-square-foot emergency care center, with expanded capacity, will offer an “exceptional level of readiness to care for a full range of emergency visits,” the hospital said.
• A new intensive care unit for coordinated care of the hospital’s sickest patients.
• Refreshed private rooms and a new caregiver center.
  A new family maternity center with labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum rooms.
• New laboratory and pharmacy.
• A new hospital lobby with central registration and admitting, financial counseling, family support services, a gift shop, and waiting areas.

The second phase of the Ulster County Healthcare Advancement Plan is expected to turn HealthAlliance Hospital on Broadway, formerly Kingston Hospital, into a walkable health village. The completion of the health village is set for 2025.
